Hello Na-Tsi-Hi,
As you are all aware, we just had our 2024 Spring Service Weekend. The weekend was undoubtedly a success. Congratulations to the newly inducted 44 new ordeal members and 19 members sealed their commitment to brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service by attaining the brotherhood honor.
We’re all looking forward to your continued commitment to our lodge, and specifically your presence at Quail Hill Scout Reservation for our upcoming Fall Service Weekend.
Service went excellently. We finished setting up the tents in record time, despite the shortened allotted period(my bad Durt). It’s a wonderful thing when Cheerful Service needs to find extra work for the crews to do. Thank you to all the Elangomats and Crew Bosses who assisted this weekend; it is no easy task to repeat the ordeal, and you are the beating heart of inductions and the most important example of what it means to be an Arrowman to our new members. But your job isn’t done just because the weekend is. Remember to reach out to your crews!
The ceremonies were par excellence this year. Our lodge ceremonialists were off script for all three ceremonies for the first time in years, to the great merit of Dhwen P. and Mrs. K. This weekend was the first step of being a truly exemplary ceremonies team. On a related note, the team needs an understudy for Allowat Sakima, the Mighty Chief, as my responsibilities as Lodge Chief limit my ability to personify a principle.
Chess obtained a much greater interest than was expected — we would have run out of boards if it weren’t for Mrs.Klincewicz, our lovely ceremonies team advisor, who brought extras. On behalf of the whole lodge, thank you Mrs. K. I’d like to congratulate Anish N. once again for winning our tournament.
The officer elections yielded a group I couldn’t be prouder of. As a team we’ve already begun cooking up a number of schemes for lodge improvement, which will be made clear during our first LEC come September. The newly elected officers are Thomas O. as Secretary, Philip R. as Vice Chief of Inductions, Colin S. as Vice Chief of Administration, and of course myself as the 69th Chief of Na-Tsi-Hi Lodge. Thank you to everyone who ran for election; we all admire your support and care for our lodge.
Yours In Brotherhood,
Theodore D.
